Inlays and Onlays

Dental Inlays and Onlays can be crafted and bonded at Park Hill Dental.  Dr. Dianne Galan’ goal is always to preserve as much of the natural tooth as possible. Considered to be part of restorative dentistry, inlays and onlays are similar to fillings, but not as restorative, and crowns, though not as extensive.  An inlay is bonded to the tooth when the area being restored is between the cusps while on onlay is where the part of the tooth being restored is one or more cusp of the tooth.  Restoring a tooth with inlays or onlays is done in two visits since the final restoration must be made in the lab and bonded in the second visit.
